ELIAS – Electronic Identification and Authentication Scanner

Autonomous high-performance ID scanner

ELIAS is an autonomous, high-performance scanner for ID cards, passports and other identity documents. The system has been developed to automatically capture and forensically analyse identity documents worldwide. It is currently the only FULL-PAGE-PASS-SCANNER in the world that is fully autonomous and self-sufficient, and is also capable of reading microprint.

The scanner has an extremely high optical resolution of up to 2000 DPI, enabling it to detect even the finest security features in a document, including microtext, background patterns and complex print structures.

ELIAS is one of the few systems in the world that combines document verification, biometric identification and data analysis within a fully autonomous system.

Among other things, the system can

  • Scan ID cards, passports and driving licences
  • Verify the authenticity of documents using forensic methods
  • Perform biometric identification (FACE, FINGER)
  • Perform duplicate checks
  • Analysing number plate recognition (LPR)
  • Carry out compliance analyses.

When the system is running online, ELIAS can perform more than a billion biometric comparisons in a single second.

ELIAS can be used both as a fixed installation and as a mobile unit. For example, the system can

  • at government offices
  • in emergency vehicles
  • at checkpoints
  • or in mobile security applications

are operated.

Thanks to an optional mobile power supply, the system can also be used independently of fixed infrastructure.
