Analyses of digitalisation and identity systems

Digital identity infrastructures have far-reaching implications for public administration, the economy and society. In this section, we publish studies and analyses on the technological, economic and social impacts of digital identity systems.

Our studies examine, among other things:

  •  Efficiency gains from digital public services
  •  The environmental impact of digitised administrative processes
  •  Opportunities and risks of digital identity systems
  •  Regulatory challenges facing digital identity infrastructures.

The published studies include, among other things, analyses of the role of digital public services in the context of climate protection and resource efficiency, as well as studies on the structural opportunities and risks associated with government identity systems.
